Talking to representative delegation of Chitral, Pervez Khattak announced that people of natural calamities prone areas of Chitral will be given residential plots in the proposed housing colony to be established at a safer place.
The delegation, led by MPA Fauzia Bibi, called on the Chief Minister here Sunday. The high ups of the departments dealing with rehabilitation of earth quake and flood-hit areas of Chitral were also present.
The Chief Minister told that he had issued orders for setting up a university in Chitral and concerned departments were supposed to expedite progress on this project which would help the people of the remote Chitral district to have the higher education facilities in their home district.
He assured that the Chitral roads and other earthquake and flood-affected infrastructure facilities would be rehabilitated at any cost and on priority basis and the donors' conference was held by the provincial government the rehabilitation projects of devastated Chitral district.
Explaining the provincial government's strategy regarding development projects, he said only those schemes would be initiated which can be completed within stipulated time and for which required financial resources are available.
Pervez Khattak also sought progress report on Chitral University, Qaqlasht Housing Scheme, Irrigation Water Chennel, Atakhalt-Wirinjune Road, Ayun-Bamburit Road, Chitral-Garam Chashma Road, and Rescue 1122 Service, Working Women Hostel, Repair of Reshun Hydro Power Station and certain other projects of Chitral.
